2023 WCMA nominee, Terell Safadi, is a Canadian Hip Hop/Rap artist of Haitian and Arabic descent, Hailing from Vancouver, BC, he gained early local recognition with his anthemic remix titled "Black Red Yellow," paying tribute to his hometown NHL team. This success opened doors for Terell and led to his alignment with the Vancouver Canucks, where he delivered four memorable performances in their stadium during games.

 

Terell Safadi has collaborated with renowned figures in the Hip Hop industry, including The Game, DJ Mustard, Merkules, Jay Worthy, Dave East, and Spice One. These partnerships, along with his recent WCMA & Canadian Music Award Nominations, showcase Terell's undeniable talent and hard work, solidifying his position as one of Canada's leading independent rap artists from the west coast.

 

Rooted in his early inspirations, such as 2pac and 50 Cent, Terell Safadi understands the importance of authenticity in his craft and storytelling. Raised by a single mother, Terell's personal experiences have shaped him into a dedicated father to his daughter, Karma. The absence of his biological father motivated him to provide a nurturing and loving environment for his own child.

 

Terell's upbringing, filled with skateboarding and delivering newspapers, allowed him to immerse himself in the sounds of the artists he now collaborates with and tours alongside. This genuine passion and connection to his roots shine through in his work.

 

With his motto and upcoming album "Live Now, Die Later," Terell Safadi encapsulates his philosophy of living in the moment and embracing the uncertainty of tomorrow.
